## **The Facility**

**The largest hazardous waste treatment capability in the country.**

The facility was built to take the waste that industry cannot treat on site and cannot lawfully export: high-strength liquids, metal-bearing sludges, spent catalysts, tars, contaminated soils and packaging. It handles all three phases under one permit, so a mixed consignment is characterised once and separated internally rather than split across vendors.

The plant came to Magma through the first full privatisation of an ADNOC asset — a transaction structured with project finance rather than an operate-and-transfer model, giving the operator long-term ownership of both the asset and the liability that runs through it.
